About me

About me

I believe, we are capable to manage how we interact with it, and further, making change and influence.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York. Specializing in depression, anxiety, psychotic symptoms, chronic mental illness, suicide crisis, grief, as well as issues related to life transitions, self-esteem, childhood trauma, family relationship, interpersonal difficulty. It has been over ten years since I stepped in psychology field. School, hospital, community, I have provided services in different types of setting and been interested in working with diverse population. From the east to the west of the world, I always looking for possibilities with human being.

Since I was a young girl, I always curious about what people think and how they feel behind presenting behaviors.

To figure out, I attended Kaohsiung Medical University in Taiwan (2008) and earned my B.S. in Psychology. Continually, I joined a psychiatric research team that focusing on depression in Taipei Mackay Memorial Hospital. With the experience working closely with patients, I found myself want to take a role more than just observing and assessing. There are things more than curious, I found, and I decide to step in.

I moved all the way form the East world to the West, exploring diversity and possibilities of human being. I obtained my Master degree in Counseling Psychology from University of Louisville. After completed education and internship in Kentucky, I moved to New York. I have provided individual, family, and group therapy in community, school, and assessment in hospital setting for people ages from 9 to70.

Because of the diversity of people and issues I have worked with, I understand, with many in common, each of us is still unique. Depends on presenting issue, symptoms, current functioning, develop condition, personality style, and identified goal, tailoring integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a personalized approach. Moreover, modifying the approach throughout the therapy to fit each client’s status of process.

I am passionate about this work.

Although the world would not be under our control, I believe, we are capable to manage how we interact with it, and further, making change and influence. Life is a continual process, and we could learn how to internally comfort ourselves while externally embrace it.

The Journey continues.

“You cannot hope to build a better world without improving individuals.”
